Alex goes Quad Biking in Market Harborough

A weekend away from Quad Nation HQ means only one thing for the Quad Nation team – a weekend of quad biking!

So when we were invited down Leicestershire to visit one of our most popular venues, we loaded up the cars, dug out the driving tunes and hit the road. But how would we fair against one of the toughest quad treks in the country? Let’s hand over to Quad Biking Specialist Alex to find out..

“Our customers absolutely love the quad trek at Quad Biking Market Harborough, and because I’ve heard so many good things I couldn’t wait to try it myself. Getting down to Leicestershire from our head office in Harrogate meant a bit of an early start, but believe me it was worth it.

As soon as you head down the track towards the quad centre you know you’re in for an incredible experience, because not only are you completely surrounded by countryside, you also pass the 4×4 course, which looks insane. We’ll definitely be going back down to give that a go!

After a bit of a nosey round the site we parked up and made our way to the main building, where we signed in and said hello to some of the quad biking team at Market Harborough. The guys were all really welcoming and we even had time for a quick brew and tour of the grounds with our instructor Rob, who had us in stitches from the off. There’s loads of different activities to try at our Market Harborough venue, so seeing where the shooting and off-road karting takes place was really good.

Once we’d worked our way round the site it was time to get down to action, and after a quick change into a helmet and waterproof jacket we were all raring to go. To lead our experience Rob handed over to Holly, who taught us how to get the best out of the bikes and put us through our paces on the training track. Because the quads were geared and the course was so bumpy I was a little bit nervous at first, but after we’d completed a couple of training laps and picked up a few tips from Holly we were all racing round like pros.

The trek itself was even better than I expected, even for experienced quad bikers like us it had everything. We started out by working our way through some really thick woodland with only a couple of inches between the bikes and the trees, and then out of nowhere we were in open countryside with loads of mud and puddles to plough through. The scenery was amazing and so was the speed of the quads, and Holly gave us plenty of time to push them a bit. What really made the experience was all the mud though, and the highlight of the day was when two of the guys got stuck. Despite being told to avoid the deeper ditches they followed each other straight into one of the biggest bogs on the course, and of course they had to be towed out.

Our time on the quads absolutely flew by, but we saw loads of the site and the surrounding countryside, which was awesome. The trek really is one-of-a-kind at Quad Biking Market Harborough, and the guys really go out of their way to give you the best experience possible. I’d definitely recommend, and as long as we promise not to get any more quad bikes stuck I’d love to do it again.

Thanks to Rob and the team for a brilliant day, we all had a blast!”

Well, it sounds like everybody just about made it round in one piece, and the guys definitely had an awesome day. So if you think you’re ready to take on the ultimate off-road challenge at Quad Biking Market Harborough, why not see if you’ve got the skill to survive the 60 minute Quad Bike Safari?
